Research projects currently under development at CRL.
  1. Artwork III - This project addresses discourse processing in the machine translation of dialogs.
  2. ATT-Meta - system for uncertain reasoning about mental states, including metaphor-based reasoning.
  3. Computational Grammars from Text - A project to derive syntactic grammars automatically from text.
  4. Corelli - Rapid Development of Multilingual MT Systems; Multilingual Translation Editor
  5. GATE - a General Architecture for Text Engineering.
  6. GraphLing - This project involves developing probabilistic classifiers for two challenging and diverse NLP tasks using a common set of techniques.
  7. Mikrokosmos - Comprehensive semantic analysis of texts for knowledge-based machine translation.
  8. MINDS - Multi-lingual Interactive Document Summarization
  9. Oleada/Cíbola - User-centered Multilingual Language Technology for Teaching and Machine Aided Human Translation.
  10. Pragmatics Based Machine Translation - Examines the pragmatic aspects of translation in order to implement an experimental computational platform.
  11. Tabula Rasa - The Tabula Rasa toolkit is a `meta-tool' that analysts can use to build tools that help with template filling tasks.
  12. TIPSTER III: URSA - The Unicode Retrieval System Architecture (URSA) is an attempt to make detection, retrieval and collection visualization completely transparent to query and document language issues.
