This project addresses the following issues:

• The fundamental mathematical theory of the decision problem,
• The determination and description of both generic and specific problem scenarios to be addressed for CB/DTRA,
• The development of a methodology to allow human experts to provide estimates of the quality of available responses and estimates of the potential improvements research might have on these problems,
• The testing of currently available decision software, both from commercial and open research sources on problem subsets,
• The investigation of interactive, multimodal methods for presenting results to decision makers, both in terms of understanding the assumptions and parameters which provide the basis for the decisions, and appreciating the differences between different solution sets produced by a system.
