PHYSICAL-EVENTs include the obvious CHANGE-LOCATION and
CHANGE-STATE events. They also include other ``physical'' events
such as WAVE-ENERGY-EVENTs and APPLY-FORCE events as well
as natural events such as DISASTER-EVENTs and LIVING-EVENTs. In addition, PHYSICAL-EVENTs include various
ARTIFACT-EVENTs, PERCEPTUAL-EVENTs, and NON-VERBAL-COMMUNICATIVE-ACTs.
Two significant subtrees under CHANGE-LOCATION
are CHANGE-POSITION and MOTION-EVENTs. PHYSICAL-EVENTs in the ontology are shown partially in
Figure
