Kim is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering Department working on the robotics in the area of the contact dynamics. He also helps one of CRL projects working with Bill.

2005-present
He is doing research on Contact Dynamics with Dr. OuMa in Mechatronics and Robotics Lab and studying ME courses such as Engineering Analysis I and II, Mechatronics, and Advaced Mechanics. He had a teaching assistanship in the experiment course of ME 445 in the 2005 fall semester.

2001-2005
Military experience as a platoon leader and deputy command officer in Joint Security Area lacated at the demilitarization zone (DMZ) and as a platoon leader in the East Coast .

1997- 2001

As a cadet, he studied not only military history, tactics, and strategics but also thermodynamics, modern physics, and quantum physics in Korea Military Academy .
