Jim Cowie
Director

Dr. Cowie is director of CRL and Professor in the Department of Psychology. He has been involved in natural language processing research, in particular, information extraction, since 1980. His main research interests are applications of language processing techniques to support information access.

He is actively engaged in extending CRL's research into other directions in particular digital libraries, medical applications, and robotics.
