Dr. Zacharski worked as a research fellow in the Linguistics Department at the University of Edinburgh examining the pragmatic
determinants of intonation. He has also worked as an instructor in the Linguistics Department at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Zacharski's principal area of interest is in examining the relationship between pragmatic factors and linguistic form
(particularly, prosodic form and the form of referring expressions).
