To BMBA Members:

Many of you know that I have been raising funds for the 2005 Lance
Armstrong Cancer Foundation. With the help from many of you, various retail stores,
and most of the area bike shops, we have raised a total of $57,000.00.

Of the 4,381 individual fund-raisers nationally and worldwide, we here in
the El Paso/Las Cruces/ Juarez area, have raised the third largest amount of
donations in our very first year! I want to thank everyone who helped us.

And yes, Lance Armstrong now knows that we have a pretty good bunch of
cyclists (road and mountain bike) here in the El Paso vicinity.

This Saturday, the Lance Armstrong Foundation's "Tour Of Hope" Peloton
Project riders will be passing through El Paso. They're a group of riders who
are raising cancer awareness by doing a 24-hour a day, relay ride from San
Diego to Washington DC and eventually on to Austin, Texas by October 21-23, for
Lance's annual "Ride For The Roses" weekend cycling extravaganza.

We're having a local group ride this Saturday October 1st, to meet the
"Tour Of Hope" riders at the west side El Paso Cancer Treatment Center where an
afternoon of festivities will take place. Our ride is for all cyclists
(mountain and road bikes). If you'd like to participate, we're going to meet at the
Crazy Cat Cyclery store on Mesa St. at 3 pm. We'll begin the ride at 3:30 pm
sharp and arrive at the Cancer Treatment Center shortly before 4 pm. where
we'll present our check in the amount of $57,000.00, to the Lance Armstrong
Foundation representative and a number of cancer patients who will also be
there.

Please join us. It'll be fun and rewarding.

   Thanks again,
   Doc
