I have the same Fisher Paragon and it's been the mostest bestest bike I've owned! OK, well almost, the Klein B1 Road frame (the first oversized AL tube frame available, and this was the one with the boron fiber strips) I got way back in 1977 was the hot sh$t back then! Respond to Gary or I if you're interested in this; This is the latest Gary Fisher G2 frame with a Fox 80mm fork. The frame has only about 200 miles, the fork was new in June of 08. The frame is a warranty replacement. While waiting for the new frame Patti rode a full suspension 29er and decided she had to have one. So, we're using the components off this bike to go on her new frame. The new frame is not a G2 frame so we had to buy a fork too. The G2 geometry works great, much more nimble than the pre 08 Fishers, it's a great handling bike. It has the stock Cane Creek Zerostack 2 headset, it's smooth and I repacked it when I built the new frame. There's enough steerer length for 30 mm of spacers below the stem. Fisher tells me the 2009 frame has the breakage issues resolved, there is apparently a difference between 2009 and 2008 frames. It's white with black graphics, the Fox fork is white. Effective toptube is 24.25", all the geometry is on Fishers website. Patti weighs 140 lbs. The frame doesn't have a scratch that I'm aware of. I taped (clear) the frame where cables rub and wrapped the right chainstay when I built it. The lawyer lips have been filed off of the fork. I'll include all our paper work and if you do have warranty issues we'll help you. We can get it to ABQ in a few weeks if you want it. I can take some photos too if you want those. 750.00 OBO Gary Blakley Del Norte, CO gcblakley at gmail.com 719 849-8183 From mleisher at gmail.com Thu Nov 20 10:52:42 2008 From: mleisher at gmail.com (Mark Leisher) Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2008 10:52:42 -0700 Subject: [bmba] Special bicycle safety meeting at Las Cruces City Hall, December 10 Message-ID: <4925A3EA.5070301@gmail.com> The City of Las Cruces got such a large number of concerned responses about bicycle safety after the recent death of bicycle commuter Anthony Lemieux, a special meeting for public discussion has been scheduled. Safe bicycle commuting will be *very* important for Las Cruces during the current economic downturn and beyond. It impacts the economy, tourism, livability, and health. The December 10 meeting has the potential to be a turning point in the transportation focus of City; the more people that show up, the more likely the City will commit to changes needed for safer commuter bicycling. I would like to request that those attending remain polite and non-abusive toward City employees. Over the past several years the City has made great strides in planning for bicycle and pedestrian traffic and to it's credit, has actually implemented some things.
