Subject: Gustavo Vega Memorial Ride

As we may have all heard, Gustavo Vega was killed by a drunk driver on
Saturday Aug.29th. A fellow cyclist and very good friend of the shop. This
Saturday Sept. 12th we'll be holding a memorial ride for Gus. Any one with a
bicycle please come out and support his family. Let's show the city that we
cyclist stand united.

We'll be leaving Dick Shinaut Park on Saul Klienfeld at 9 am. Then we'll
head down Pebble Hills to Eastwood Park, formerly Album Park. Once at
Eastwood Park we'll regroup and ride back to Dick Shinaut Park. It's a 9
mile loop. Belen will be waiting for us on our return with goodies and after
ride drinks. The media will be present, so it's very important that we let
El Paso know we're out there. Thank you to everyone ahead of time, and be

sometime after noon. She can either catch a cab from the airport to the
person who is willing to give her a ride, or the person can come pick her up

I lost my Garmin 705 yesterday during the Horny Toad Hustle.  I kept hoping
it would turn up after I didn't find anything doing a sweep of the section
where I lost it.  No such luck yesterday afternoon.  If someone turns it in
(broken or not) please let me know as I'd like to have it back.  I lost it
on the the singletrack just past the turnoff for the 'bonus loop.'  Quite a
few people told me they saw it around that area.  Thanks for another great
race!
